Downloading the tenements data from DMIRS:

To download the latest tenements GIS data from DMIRS, head to the Data and Software Centre https://dasc.dmirs.wa.gov.au/ and navigate to:
Datasets >  Statewide spatial datasets - [GDA1994/GDA2020] > Tenements - Current (live and pending) - [GDA1994]

Choose the shapefile and download the zip file.
Once downloaded unzip the file in your folder of choice.



Loading the tenements in the database:

Pre-requisite install PgAdmin with Postgis. This will install the "PostGIS Shapefile and DBF Loader Exporter". 

Once installed, "PostGIS Shapefile and DBF Loader Exporter" should be available in your windows start menu.

Using "PostGIS Shapefile and DBF Loader Exporter", first establish a connection with your database, then select your tenements shapefile and click on Import.
